"From Personal Projects to an Open Ecosystem: Open-Source Practice with the UCSC Xena Series and Visualization Tools"
Prof. Wang is a highly active contributor to the open-source bioinformatics community. His flagship projects, UCSCXenaTools and UCSCXenaShiny, are developed under openbiox organizations, reflecting his commitment to community-driven ecosystems. Beyond code, he co-leads the OncoHarmony Network, organizing workshops and maintaining teaching materials. He also contributes to the broader R community through openbiox Weekly and translations like the Chinese Cookbook for R.
Dr Zhougeng Xu

"From Research Needs to Open-Source Tools: My AI4S Practice"
Dr Xu is a postdoctoral researcher and an active open-source contributor in the bioinformatics community, particularly known for his extensive educational content. He has authored over 290 tutorials on platforms like Jianshu, gaining more than 2 million reads. His recent work includes Wisp Science, a local-first AI research workbench for scientific computing.

"A Single-Cell Spatially-Resolved Human Whole Transcriptome Atlas of Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) Associates Spatial Features with Clinical Response"
Dr Dharmesh Bhuva is an NHMRC Emerging Leadership Fellow at the Frazer Institute, University of Queensland, where he develops computational methods to study tissue architecture in cancer using spatial molecular data. His methods have been downloaded over 240,000 times globally. He has recently been awarded an MRFF grant and an NHMRC Investigator grant to identify spatial biomarkers of immunotherapy response in NSCLC.

"Developing Bioconductor tools for long-read sequencing analysis"
Prof. Ritchie initiated the BiocAsia meetups and conferences in 2015 and was the driving force behind these events for many years. He has also been a vital member of the global Bioconductor community since its formation in the early 2000s, and is a long-standing contributor to multiple Bioconductor packages including limma and edgeR.
